Award-winning success at Alimenta

DSCF3321-smallSpice Application Systems (SAS) scooped top honours at Alimenta 2012 when it was awarded the organisers’ Diploma for Best Small Stand at the exhibition.

It’s the first time that the Oxfordshire-based electrostatics specialist has exhibited at the event, held at the Romexpo Exhibition Centre in Bucharest, Romania, which attracted food industry professionals from throughout central and eastern Europe.

Show visitors, many of whom were from the snack, meat processing and pet food sectors, wanted to find out more about how electrostatics can save them money and improve energy efficiency on production lines.

SAS’s electrostatic equipment, which can be retrofitted onto a range of processing equipment, is ideal for applying flavourings and coatings to a wide range of products, including snacks, confectionery, cheese products, breakfast cereals, fresh and processed meats, frozen foods and dry pet food.

Its advantages include a major reduction in powder wastage, a cleaner working environment, improved coverage of end products and absolute accuracy of powder application.
